How do I Install ImpactAware?

ImpactAware is installed on your desktop using a system call WebStart. This allows us to install to any Java 5 enabled environment over the Internet. WebStart also has the benefit of automatically updating your installed application when we release a new version. To download ImpactAware simply go to the web address you have been allocated and click the link Download ImpactAware. The application will be downloaded to your desktop and is ready to use.

Can I Install on Multiple Machines?

You can install ImpactAware on as many client machines as you wish. For example there is nothing stopping you from having the application installed on your home machine, a laptop and a work desktop. Our licensing arrangements is based on the number of concurrent users attached to our central server environment. This means that you can have as many named users as you want with the application installed on as many machines as you want.

How do I upgrade ImpactAware?

This happens automatically when we release a new version. Everytime the application runs it will check to see if there is a newer version available. If there is a new version it will be downloaded and installed automatically.

Can I use the system without an Internet Connection?

The straight answer is no. The client application talks directly to our central server environment where your data is stored. This may seem like a disadvantage, but remember that you can install the application on any machine you wish, and log into the system from anywhere in the world.
