Assigning Responsibility
One of the most powerful features of the ImpactAware platform is the way in which it handles access rights. You will note that there are currently only four roles within the system.
In order to assign different workflows within the champion interface we again use the dependency model which you have built up previously.
A champion with a Champion role who has not been assigned or deputised for any element within the model will only have the right to create activities and change their password. To provide them with more workflows you need to assign them onto the model.
Champions assigned to a level on the organisation chart will automatically get rights to view the plan for that level but also all plans relating to the levels below. For example a champion assigned at organisational level Department will be able to download the Department plan as well as all section plans. Champions at this level also have the workflow of approve but only at the level they have been assigned. For example a champion assigned at organisational level Department will be required to approve that plan.
If you want a champion to have access to a building plan, then you simply assign them to that building and it will be opened up in their view. Note that building plans do not need to be approved.
Note that champions can be assigned to multiple elements at different points in the model.
Assignation is carried out in the Manage My Organisation area.
